Biography of William Edward Parry-Okeden, Queensland public servant and second Police Commissioner (1895-1905); and Protector of Aborigines (1895-1903). At 14 years of age he was part of a Volunteer Force at the Ballarat riots. In 1861 he went squatting in Queensland and in 1870 he was appointed to initiate Border Customs as Inspector of the Border Patrol. After serving as a Police Magistrate and Immigration Agent he was appointed Under-Colonial Secretary in 1889.__________________________________________________________________________________________ Condition: Very good
